Species Parablennius tentacularis

Measures 9-12 cm. Elongated body and rounded head. Its dorsal fin covers almost the entire back. Colour may vary from beige to brownish, with vertical vertical darked bands on its body and often with 8-9 dark spots on the back. Dorsal fin has spots over the head. It is characterised by two long tentacles above each eye, with ramifications towards the back (same plane).

May be confused with Parablennius gattorugine, but head tentacles of this species present bushy ocular tentacles emerging on all sides and at different levels. Also vertical bands in P. gatoruggine extend to its dorsal fin.
